General Description

Health packs are a vital item in and out of combat. These small items can cause drastic effects on the battlefield. Be sure to make use of them whenever you can, but also be mindful to others who may need it more, such as a friendly Medic.

Health also refers to the hit point total that governs the survivability of the varying classes.

Health pickups come in four different sizes. Each one healing the player for a different percentage of their total class health value.


  • Small (Pill Bottle) 20.5% heal (10 sec re-spawn) (item_healthkit_small)
  • Medium (First Aid Kit) 50% heal (10 sec re-spawn) (item_healthkit_medium)
  • Large (Ice Cooler) 100% heal (10 sec re-spawn) (item_healthkit_full)
  • Dispenser
  • Resupply (Medical Cabinet) 100% heal

These are found only in resupply areas, so don't be afraid to return to your spawn to use them.

  • Sandvich - if dropped by a Heavy, heals a Scout for 75 HP, all other classes for 50 HP.



Strategy

  • Use Health to extinguish fire inflicted by Pyros
  • Use Health to its full potential. If an item heals you for 50%, consider waiting until your health drops below 50% before picking it up.
  • Let Medics pick up Health before you do. Their purpose is to heal other players.
  • Deny the enemy the use of Health by picking it up before they do in a firefight.
