The K.G.B (Killing Gloves of Boxing) is the unlockable melee weapon for the Heavy class and is a Level 7 loadout for the fists. It is unlocked after you have gained 22 Heavy achievements. When the Heavy kills an enemy with the K.G.B he is guaranteed critical hits for the next 5 seconds, and can kill additional enemies to further lengthen the boost time. This power-up also crosses over with other weapons, such as the shotgun, so the Heavy could kill an enemy with the K.G.B and then take out his shotgun to blast away enemies from range. However, the K.G.B has a 20% slower swinging speed, and coupled with the Heavy's slow movement speed makes this tactic risky.

The acronym of the Killing Gloves Of Boxing, K.G.B, was also the acronym for the Russian security agency, secret police and intelligence agency Komityet Gosudarstvennoy Bezopasnosty, which was disbanded in 1995.

The critical hit effect caused when killing someone counts towards the Supreme Soviet Achievement.

When the Heavy dies with his K.G.B out, he drops his minigun, which can be picked up for ammo.

By default, left clicking throws a left-handed punch and right clicking throws a right-handed punch (this has no effect on gameplay). Critical hit punches appear as a right-handed uppercut animation.

The K.G.B has a unique taunt, Two "knock-out" bells are heard and the Heavy starts doing uppercuts in the air. This is an homage to Mr. Sandman's warm-up technique from Punch Out!!.
