List of melee weapons

Melee weapons are short-ranged weapons that do not use ammo and occupy the third weapon slot of all classes. Melee weapons usually have above-average crit chance, have mild knock back against grounded foes, and have high knockback against airborne foes.

Each class uses a unique melee weapon, though a majority of melee weapons are mostly or completely identical in terms of gameplay mechanics: they typically have the same attack speed, deal the same damage, have the same crit mechanics, have the same knock back, and have no special effects, though the Bat, the Knife, the Wrench, the unlockable weapons, and the Showdown taunt have unique properties.

Hitting with melee weapons is not totally straightforward. Melee weapons have a delay between the moment when you attack and when they actually hit, and you do not need to aim at your target to land a hit with a melee weapon (though you need to look in their approximate direction). In general, the movement of a melee weapon's model does not represent its actual hit path.
