Damage
If a critical hit does three times the normal amount of damage, then would the Axtinguisher (doing half the Fire Axe damage, or 23-43) have a crit damage of three times its normal damage? Because 195 damage each hit seems too powerful. --Shmoo 04:15, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
I'm not quite sure what's confusing, it acts like a weaker version of the normal fire axe which crits like a regular fire axe when the enemy are on fire. Therefore the crit damage is the same as a regular fire axe, just easier to facilitate. --Wilsonator 09:27, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, but how do we know that it crits like a regular fire axe. Could you post a link please? I'd like to know.
Ah, I see your point. Well we don't know for sure but the Pyro minisite tommorow should reveal all.--Wilsonator 22:02, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
Hehe, can't wait :) --Shmoo 04:35, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
Now that I've gotten my hands on the toy... well, I've only critted once, on a nearly full health Soldier that I'd just shot with the flare gun, and he dropped like a rock. I'm thinking it probably is around 195. It lists itself as a fire axe that does 50% damage against non-burning enemies, and automatic crits on burning ones. That is to say, the damage it deals against unburnt foes is not its normal damage. Its normal damage will never occur, because it would require an enemy neither burning nor non-burning. Maybe if they were scimmering or just kinda warm- that was a bad joke, sorry. Midaki 07:05, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
I will add that the Axtinguisher crits randomly --GeaR 17:19, 6 July 2008 (MEZ)
it does not crit randomly, you can hear the sound but damage is same. -shultays
