I'd gladly make one if I knew how to disable hud, crosshair and the held weapon.
- Well, in the console, you can try these commands:
cl_drawhud 0andr_drawviewmodel 0. These remove all HUD elements like the crosshair and the held weapon.
- Contributors, I know we have a Community Scripts section and the Bots and Recording demos articles list commands, but is there a place where we can list useful commands like these? Or would that be redundant relative to existing articles? --Wipnum 14:58, 9 March 2008 (CDT)
- I considered doing this, transfering from all the commands from VDC (which we are allowed to do). The thing is, that's all it would be, a huge list. What would provide more meaningful to readers would be to provide all the relevant commands on the Help:Taking Screenshots article. I have a script I use for screenshots which allows me to change camera angles, texture quality, and a whole host of useful stuff. I'll clean it up, publish it and add a link and basic instructions on the Community Scripts then link to it from the Taking screenshots article when I get home. --Aurora 10:26, 10 March 2008 (CDT)
- Oh by the way, I don't think cl_drawhud removes the crosshair (could be wrong though), there is a specific
crosshaircommand, 1=on 0=off. --Aurora 10:28, 10 March 2008 (CDT)
- Thanks, Aurora. I think that'll be great. Also, I can confirm that cl_drawhud 0 does indeed remove the crosshair.--Wipnum 13:53, 10 March 2008 (CDT)
