Splash Damage

I know tests have been performed to test the damage on the splash damage for the Soldier's rockets. Has any testing been done for these grenades? How far is their splash damage out to? How much damage for maximum range splash damage? Do crits lose damage over distance? I need someone to play a game with me (I use 360 version, though.) to test these values out, otherwise some people on the PC Version can do it if they'd like. I've noticed that the damages are vastly different depending on range of the damage itself, not the grenade. --Jewbat 23:55, 13 February 2008 (CST)

I don't own a 360 so can't help you with this but I am available if anyone wants to test anything on the PC version. The problem you may find with testing distances is there's no real unit of measure that would mean anything to average players. --Aurora 09:27, 14 February 2008 (CST)
True. Someone tested the splash on the rocket. I was just wondering if someone (even on the PC as I don't think the damages for the Grenade Launcher have changed at all) could test this out? --Jewbat 22:14, 18 February 2008 (CST)

New Image

Can we get a new image for this? You can't even see the gun in the current one. --WanderingFox 12:12, 15 November 2007 (CST)

I was playing yesterday and got a good snap shot off of a grenade launcher floating in the air. I dont know how to upload it though.DontEatRawHagis 13:59, 8 December 2007 (CST)
Click the Upload file on the left hand toolbox menu. See Using images for more information on how to use the image once you've uploaded it. Oh, and Help:Contents is your friend ;) --Aurora 15:44, 8 December 2007 (CST)

The Grenade Launcher Capacity

The Grenade launcher has an in-game clip of 4 shots to be used, but the model for the gun shows six slots. One can infer that at one point it must of had a capacity of 6 shots before the game was finished.

In TFC, the grenade launcher had six rounds.

No splash damage on direct hit?

If a grenade is fired and explodes on the ground or in the air, it does splash damage. I notice this when one of my own grenades explodes near me and damages me. However, I have the impression now that if a grenade explodes by directly hitting an opponent, there is no splash damage. So if you fire a grenade into a wall in front of you, such that it explodes at your very feet, you will be damaged. However, if you run into an opponent and at point blank range fire a grenade into him - so the grenade is exactly as far away - then you will suffer no damage at all. I tested this today, playing Demoman for quite some time. There IS splash damage on direct hits, but from what I can gather it may be a smaller radius of damage than a normal explosion. I only get hit from a direct hit if I am standing right next (touching) my target and I still get hit by splash damage. I'm not sure if there is anything to do with a smaller radius of splash damage on a direct hit though... Jewbat 03:38, 23 January 2008 (CST)
