Weapon is a Golok

Its not a kukri in the technical sence of the word, why everyone thinks a Aussie Sniper carries a weapon native to nepal and that region is beyond me. I have no "official" source for this but the design is actually modelled on the golok as carried by the australians around the time of the vietnam war. This makes much more sence, fits in with the Australian Character and the timing of the game aswell as the look... Steak Sandwich 07:51, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

Deflection

I still think that it is pretty clear that this is not a Kukri, as the blade's back isn't deflected at all, and actual Kukris have a 20 degree deflection or more. The only thing to suggest that it is a Kukri is the curved front of the blade. If you check Google, a number of outdoor supply sites list Kukri Machetes and all have a similar design (more similar than a Kukri) to the Sniper's melee weapon.

On the snipers load out screen its called a Kukri by the makers of the game. NB please sign your posts --mark"d"davis 08:44, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
