Thanks!
Thanks for editing / cleanup and featuring on main page! --Wipnum 00:40, 17 December 2007 (CST)
- No problem, it's a good article and informative for users. With the addition of the video (by Wilsonator) and picture, it meets all the right checkpoints for a Featured article. --Aurora 12:24, 17 December 2007 (CST)
- Do we even have those 'checkpoints' written down someplace? :P -- WanderingFox (Talk • Contribs) 12:29, 17 December 2007 (CST)
- Yes, on a piece of coffee stained post-it note on the side of my monitor :] Seriously, it's common sense, if an article is 1. Useful, 2. Written clearly, 3. Has a decent introduction, 4. Has a thumbnail picture to accompany the introduction, 5. Has links to other associated articles (including wikitext links). --Aurora 13:07, 17 December 2007 (CST)
- Right, but an official source we can state would be nice. Also, if we have it written officially, we can make a template for nominating articles, and one for stating what is still missing to make the article featured worthy. If what you've listed here are the only real requirements, I'll flesh them out and make the article/templates tonight :P -- WanderingFox (Talk • Contribs) 13:34, 17 December 2007 (CST)
- Ahh I see, like they do on the Wikipedia:Featured articles I guess you mean? Well you might want to have a look at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates and Wikipedia:Featured article criteria. Seems like a lot of work though, so if you want to take it on be my guest - you can update the Main Page weekly as well then, good man :p --Aurora 14:06, 17 December 2007 (CST)
- If I take it on, I'll end up pestering Nos for some extensions to manage it for me :P but I'll take over for the time being I suppose -- WanderingFox (Talk • Contribs) 14:08, 17 December 2007 (CST)
To Do?
Is the current To-Do for default map strategies done? It looks like contributors have covered the default maps.
