How many bars for a kill?
In the Sniper Scope, there are several bars that fill up the longer you stay scoped. We should find out the approx. number of bars you need to fill up to kill an enemy both in the head and the body in one shot if the enemy has full health. We'll also include whether he's being buffed by a Medic or not. If he can't be killed in 1 shot to the body we'll just list it as something. I can try to do this, but if any of you already know how many bars, then go ahead and post it. --CountDOODOO 21:12, 4 December 2007 (CST) Ive killed a fully buffed heavy with a fully charged headshot atleast i think i have --markdeadlydavis 05:37, 5 December 2007 (CST)
Could you clarify what you mean by half bars? I'm assuming you mean half charged, in which case we should probably rephrase everything in terms of percent charged (ie. Head - 0%, Body - 50%, etc.). -- WanderingFox 21:59, 5 December 2007 (CST)
Medic has to back to front ? 100% for headshot 75% for body shot ???--markdeadlydavis 05:26, 6 December 2007 (CST)
Could use a better picture
Can someone replace the picture of the Sniper holding a Sniper Rifle and instead show a better picture of the Sniper alone or in the hands of the Sniper. Thanks.--CountDOODOO 21:06, 17 December 2007 (CST)

Page needs clarification/re-working
Quote:
All Ranges: 110-195 Critical Hit: >450
Critical hits are triple damage (http://tf2wiki.net/wiki/Critical_hit) there is no evidence to suggest the sniper rifle is treated differently
Quote:
Heavy HEAD - 75%, (100%) BODY - Not Possible
Why is 100% in brackets?
A fully charged body shot should also instakill a heavy if it was a crit shot (see below)
"A un-zoomed shot to the head will still be a critical hit and can still kill them, yet it won't register as a headshot kill."
This seems to be a major misunderstanding of the sniper rifle. The game will not recognise a headshot from any weapon other than shots fired with the sniper rifle from zoomed in, it simply isn't coded in.
All other shots (zoomed or unzoomed) are (to the best of our current knowledge) subject to the same critical hit algorithm as every other weapon.
You can stand next to an enemy and shoot them point blank range (unzoomed sniper rifle) in the head and it will *never* register as a headshot. It will therefore never benefit from guaranteed crits but it can score a critical hit.
- I added that section "Minimum Percent for a kill" but it seems to be causing lots of confusion. I'll delete that section later. But I'm personally confused about the damage the Sniper does when it is not charged. Does anyone know?--CountDOODOO 13:49, 18 December 2007 (CST)
- Don't remove the section, it's very useful. Perhaps it needs to be put into a table, and made easier to read, but it's very important information for a sniper. As for the damage, it does different amounts depending on if it's zoomed in or not. The values listed on the page are all zoomed values, I'm not sure what the unzoomed damage is, but it's very low. -- WanderingFox (Talk • Contribs) 14:13, 18 December 2007 (CST)
