Replace Spy vs Spy pics?
We should really replace those Spy vs Spy pics. Yes, they're spies but they are not TF2 spies and so they shouldn't be on this wiki. It's an issue of relevancy. I feel that if a person wanted those images, they should make their own little guide somewhere else (not on this wiki) and they can use those images. It's like a James Bond Wiki (is there one?). You can have a picture of yourself dressed an agent, but the real actor who played James Bond would be a lot more relevant. Personally, it disgusts me to see this image. It's not TF2, so I want it out. Thus, I'm going to go ahead and give it the axe.--CountDOODOO 19:19, 29 February 2008 (CST)
- Gahh! I feel so frustrated! I'm having trouble editing out that image. Can someone else do it? Thanks.--CountDOODOO 19:32, 29 February 2008 (CST)
- I originally reverted it, however it's been replaced and now uses a custom template. I left it there for others to comment, see Stuart P. Bentley's User talk, Contributions and the Spy match-ups recent history for more details --Aurora 19:47, 29 February 2008 (CST)
- What Bentley did IS VANDALISM. He changed a fine picture (a totally relevant one) into something less relevent. It's no different then those losers who added that crap TF2 porn. I reverted it. If I messed up somehow, please add your edits back in guys. Yo, Bentley! I got my eye on you. Don't vandalize this wiki.--CountDOODOO 14:19, 1 March 2008 (CST)
- Why remove those pictures? They were fitting, a nice easter egg, funny and I don't think anybody will get confused because of them. Death Dragon 15:17, 2 March 2008 (CST)
- Alas, the pictures aren't ours to use. They belong to DC Comics, a company famous for aggressively protecting its intellectual property. If this were a DC Comics or MAD Magazine website, we'd be able to use them as descriptive of our work, but because they're entirely unrelated to what we're doing here, the TF2 Wiki community appears to be in agreement that they do not fall under Fair Use. --Southpaw018 15:50, 2 March 2008 (CST)
Emo-Demomen?
"If they see you they will commit suicide." XD I get a funny mental image from that.
Well I can see what he means sorta but I wouldn't rely on a Demoman blowing himself up while trying to kill you, you'd go down first 9 times out of ten. If he did manage to kill himself just firing at you, that's one idiot demoman.
Hitbox clarification
Quote: "shooting at the head does not cause more damage, and it is a smaller target" - This needs varifying, I would be surprised if the head hitbox didn't cause more damage than the body. --Aurora 11:34, 18 December 2007 (CST)
- Ok, after more research it turns out headshots except in the case of the Sniper don't do any more damage than a shot to any other part of the body, my mistake.--Wilsonator 03:49, 19 December 2007 (CST)
- Wow, that really surprises me o_O --Aurora 08:32, 20 December 2007 (CST)
- It's to prevent the 'degal' situation from counterstrike :P -- WanderingFox (Talk • Contribs) 09:30, 20 December 2007 (CST)
