Talk:User info boxes

Userbox for Xbox Live
Since Team Fortress 2 is also available on the Xbox 360 and can be played on Xbox Live, I think we should have an Xbox Live User box. We already have one for Steam (PC players) why not have one for Live? If anyone can do one and message me it'll be great. Thanks. --CountDOODOO 15:18, 30 November 2007 (CST)
- I'll see what I can do later. Just to clarify, the steam one isn't exactly to denote PC players, but rather for those of us who endorse what Valve is doing by giving people the option to bypass brick and mortar distributors. -- WanderingFox 15:20, 30 November 2007 (CST)
Ideas for new User Boxes
We should all post our ideas for user boxes we'd like to see in the future. They shouldn't be too crazy. We need ideas that we'll still be able to find or make a picture for. I guess I'll start.

- Or better yet, just create the user boxes yourself. WanderingFox created full instructions on how to do this in the Help:Userboxes. If you have difficulty following the instructions, post on the talk of those pages what is difficult to follow. By doing this we can correct anything that's hard to follow and make it easier for people to create their own User boxes. Note: this goes for anything on the wiki, if there's something that people are finding hard to understand, post a note on the main Help:Contents discussion pages requesting a help page for it. The more people that contribute to the wiki, the better it will get and they can only do this if they know what to do. --Aurora 19:14, 30 November 2007 (CST)
Oh, alright. Yeah, I'm new to wiki editing so I'll give it a shot. I still might improve this list just so I have ideas to build off of and if I see an awesome idea, I'll try to make it. --CountDOODOO 19:21, 30 November 2007 (CST)
- Go for it, everyone has to start somewhere, I had no idea what wikitext was before I posted a message on here (I still maintain I'm a noob). I recommend you use the Show preview button lots (says the master of multiple saves for corrections, lol). If you get stuck you can always look at the help pages, if your still stuck, post a message or have a look on steam to see if one of us is around (that is if you can). Good luck and have fun :) --Aurora 19:29, 30 November 2007 (CST)
OMG! It actually worked. I've been reading articles and everything because I was trying to find out what went wrong. Now I know. I'll use use those tips that you posted in my discussion page from now on. Now all I gotta do is edit some things and I should alright. Thanks for your help everyone. --CountDOODOO 00:47, 1 December 2007 (CST)
- Congratulations, If those tips helped more than the help pages we probably need to make a few changes to the help ones to make it easier, I'll have a read when I get a chance see if I can amalgamate them. --Aurora 10:36, 1 December 2007 (CST)
