Needs Improvement

This article needs some improvement; it needs a picture of the controls. I can get that but would it be copyright infringement if I scanned a picture of the manual and uploaded it onto this wiki?--CountDOODOO 07:04, 4 December 2007 (CST)

I doubt it, it is possible to copyright manuals as they are published literature however it would have to say on it somewhere a copyright notice and I doubt Valve would have done this. Have a look on the back cover and inside the first page, if it doesnt say anything about copyright (i.e. this manual and it's contents are copyright...blah blah) the scan it. The game and its contents (meaning the stuff on the dvd) are usually the copyrighted material's (logos are usually trademark). I'm far from an expert on copyright though, but I would'nt be concerned about the manual if I was Valve, besides you aren't copying it for financial gain. --Aurora 07:30, 4 December 2007 (CST)
