Language

Can you add Lithuanian language support/software ? --Aurum481 08:52, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

The chances are that it already supports it by adding /lt to the pagename, for example Main Page/lt. There are a few conventions you need to adhere to though, see the Language Translation Help pages. Having said that, I'm no longer an admin of the wiki so you are better speaking to one of the Administrators to check with them. --Aurora 12:14, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
Edit: It would seem I do still have access, you have already added the page and just wanted the language bar updated to reflect your changes. I've added /lt to the language template now but if I rememeber correctly it will take a short while for the wiki cache to be updated (it does already show in the edit pages). I will check again tomorrow and if it's still not there I will investigate further. --Aurora 13:01, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
Well it appears on main page and is registered here and appears in the Main page. Thank you --Aurum481 15:29, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
By the way, I somehow managed to create page with \ Main Page\lt. Please delete it...
All done, good luck and happy editing :) --Aurora 16:04, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

It's been a while!

More than a year by my reckoning and it seems a lot has changed. A few people may have wondered 'Whatever happened to Aurora?', well, it's a long complicated story that one, but in simplest terms - I lost everything. Thanks to the global economic downturn I lost my job, house, even my computer (hence the sudden disappearance from the wiki) :(. I've picked myself up, dusted myself off and managed to patch together a computer. Quite a journey and not a happy one, but life goes on eh? Anyway I will be helping out with what I can again on the wiki but I will be taking a seat further towards the back, I still have major things to deal with in rl and just don't have anywhere near the time I used to dedicate to it. --Aurora 13:44, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

Heya

Don't suppose you could restore suicide and (especially, woooops) TF2 Wiki:About ? Also, can admins promote to admin status? I sometime find myself needing to restore pages as you can see. --Wilsonator 04:51, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

Only Bureaucrats can promote to Admin I believe... Only Nos and HarriL can promote. Smashman 07:20, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
I can delete pages but I can't restore them if deleted, I don't have full Admin permissions :( --urora (talk | contribs) 13:39, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

My Apology

about what happend to the Rage Clan and I think the other...

I'm sorry I thought it was a Job for all users . I wont do it again . It just that I wanted to Support TF2 and wiki and make it up good Pages. I didn't think that. I'm trying to watch my actions and Continue to support Everybody and not just TF2

My Apology !--kojk6 14:23, 20 November 2009 (UTC)

No problem, I understand. We have a process for cleanups and do not remove pages or content without doing everything possible to contact the users and give them plenty of time before taking action. Unless in cases of obvious vandalism. --urora (talk | contribs) 14:26, 20 November 2009 (UTC)

I fixed up all administrator related double redirects and the like I could find. As for the naming, that was a little misunderstanding as I mentioned on my talk page. It's my fault really, a summary note would have cleared that up beforeit started. So just to clarify, with the exception of that one response page, she is 'the' Administrator. --Wilsonator 01:22, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
Well I found out general wiki policy is to drop all 'The's in reference to fictional characters, so now I am actually moving it to Administrator. Woops. Again, I'll handle all the moves myself and be sure not to pass over the subpages, broken links, redirects etc. I also found the 'the' in the Sandman is droppable, as 'the' doesn't seem to be acknowledged as part of the 'product' name by Valve and therefore not capitalised (like Cloak and Dagger and Dead Ringer). These should be the last major moves I need to make for a while, I hope. I'll handle it tommorow to beat the weektime update rush.--Wilsonator 06:05, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
Well you live and learn, if you had checked the 'Move all subpages, if applicable' option it would have been done in one swoop (except the links) :D

Crafting deletion

Ummm, there's a big difference between this and Guarddogs as far as how they handled it:

  • The Guarddog "information" was never posted on the official blog
  • The only official acknowledgment on the blog was a form letter as a tip of the hat. Not an official announcement they would be coming
  • The crafting information was released in full detail as part of the blog post for the update

This is not on some random page. This is not some simple form that "Saxton Hale" filled out.

    • Not to mention that the GuardDog announcement was hosted on a 50webs.com website, while the crafting is actually hosted on the TF2 blog.--Justinbronze 21:01, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
  • I agree with Aurora, we might as well wait less than one week to upload the info. Means that we can be more accurate because as soon as the update is up we can properly check how the crafting system works. - Pillinjer 21:20, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
