Test page to see if a synthesized item list was possible to make, incomplete list, the point is to be able to distinguish properties that are common to all items but not too specific -- I admit this is getting more and more stupid to find generic attributes for weapons

- Craft stands for "randomly obtainable via crafting", Blueprint stands for "obtainable via crafting". A token for example comes only by Blueprint, and almost all hats are "Craft". The bonk helmet however is both.
- The "type" column is superfluous : Every single item that is decorative is either a hat of a misc item :: even though the Razorback is a wearable, but also affects the gameplay, whiches makes it passive and not decorative
- The list must be regardless of the "stack count" such as how many bullets can be stored, as it can be too variable (such as a number of seconds instead of bullets, or the engineer having a lot more stockable bullets than the scout, only account item-specific properties, not class-dependant
- Why I think the Razorback is a buff is that it's an "effect" that the sniper earns when he spawns or goes to the cabinet, just like the "buff banner" is an active buff, regardless of the effect done
- I'm quite liking this, bar a few errors. Maybe we could include it somewhere. Also, I feel the Razorback's effect is more Protect or Dissuade than Buff. -- Smashman... (t • s • b) 20:52, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
- I'd say the Targe is Buff and Damage, as it speeds the user up and the Chocolate being Heal and Buff. -- Smashman... (t • s • b) 21:39, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
Hmm seems quite hard to describe an item withoug being too specific, for example, how can we describe the Blutsauger, it coule be like Damage, Heal (grants health), Debuff (reduces healing rate) Also, "drop and craft" seems redundant : Unless there exist some items that you can randomly optain via crafting that you can't obtain vua dropping, or the opposite, scrap metal bein in the blueprint category Hurricaaane 22:17, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
- Quite, but if that's how we're doing stuff the Sandman and Eyelander debuff too. But then the Eyelander also Buffs. Darn. Please remember to sign you comments on talk pages with ~~~~. -- Smashman... (t • s • b) 22:16, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
- Then maybe we should underline buffs that can actually be altered over lifetime (like Razorback that can be nullified upon backstab, or KGB that can only activate after a kill), and not permanently passive buffs--Hurricaaane 22:21, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
- The point of a list like this is really to do a synthethesis : In the class pages and the weapons pages, there comes to be a LOTS and LOTS of rundundant items, like for each class page there is a FULL LIST of common items for all classes which is pointless, and also we tend to separate hats and misc items while there are the same, while some hats are actually more like misc items as they can't be craftes (unique items) and so on.--Hurricaaane 22:23, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry for the mass edits, I hope people don't mind too much--Hurricaaane 00:10, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
- Typically, items that you can't get randomly can't be used to craft something else.--Hurricaaane 14:06, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
Note: Could add Metal and Tokens using the attribute "use_crafting":(Usage for crafting) and "b":(Blueprint)--Hurricaaane 14:48, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
