Hello -
I understand, I made an error changing the motto.
However, the height/weights are all wrong...I don't care if valve themselves did it.
The heavy is 6'3 and 250?? Since when is the heavy thin? He's a VERY big man, and there is NO WAY in hell that he's 2-anything. He's at least 350, but more like 375. If he had bigger legs he'd be 400+.
As an example, I'm 5'7 and 200 lbs during a bulking cycle (I'm a bodybuilder). For every inch of height, 10-15 lbs of extra weight can be added. So for a person 8 inches taller than me (6'3) thats a minimum of 80 lbs of extra weight if he was as lean as I am (6% bodyfat). The heavy would be between 280-320 IF HE WAS SHREDDED TO THE BONE! Instead, as we can tell, he's a very big man...which easily adds another 50-100 lbs in fat/muscle/bone density/fluid etc.
I also find some other classes height and weight ridiculous. The scout for example appears to be just as tall or taller than all other classes (not heavy) but it says he's 5'9?
Are these all guesstimates based on wiki users? Or are these actual numbers provided by valve/steam for the game in trailers/press releases? Including favorite food and drink?? --Biodole 13:54, 24 February 2008 (CST)
Escalated Privileges
You have been suggested as someone I should consider giving some escalated privileges to. Right now, if you look at Administrators you'll see the kind of permission we have. I'll remain the only "sysop" at least fo the time being. Are you interested? Please swing by my talk page and let me know either way in the Escalated Privilege Candidate Responses section. Thanks. --Nos 10:37, 4 March 2008
Image licensing
Hello fellow TF2 Wiki editors. If you read this message before, forget what I wrote. I've just completed all the license templates and while doing research I found the Mediawiki software has a built in license function so there's no need for you to bother typing all the gunk in. You can now select the license when uploading images (however it's not enforced). I've also been digging through legal documents and found that in the Canadian Copyright Act a 'fair dealing' policy exists (similar to the UK fair dealing policy, a bit like the US 'fair use' policy but not as flexible) which can probably be used for all screenshots from TF2 (although I'm no legal expert so should anything go to court - it wasn't me, nobody saw me do it).
Thanks, --Aurora 16:07, 10 March 2008 (CDT) [updated --Aurora 21:18, 10 March 2008 (CDT)]
Mailing List
Finally setup an admin mailing list... sign up here: http://mailman.tf2wiki.net/mailman/listinfo/wikiadmins/ Please put your Wiki user name in the name field somewhere. For example, I did "Andrew Kerr (Nos)". --Nos 19:08, 11 March 2008 (CST)
